Marygrace was born and brought up in Providence, Rhode Island. After marrying, she lived in New York City for several years. She has resided in Coventry, Rhode Island for over 44 years.

She retired from the Providence school system in 2003 as a Spanish bilingual elementary teacher. Being a life-long learner, she was eager to improve her self-taught painting/drawing skills. Mary graduated from the Children’s Book Illustration program at Rhode Island School of Design in 2008.

She uses mixed media, including Photoshop and Illustrator for illustrations.
